Inurban and Cirugía Solidaria join forces in the Murcia Solidarity Race

On 28 April, solidarity and social commitment will come together in the streets of Murcia with the fifth edition of the popular race organised by the NGO Cirugía Solidaria. This event, part of the Running Challenge circuit, is not only a sporting competition, but also a commitment to solidarity in favour of the health development of vulnerable communities.

At Inurban, we are proud to renew our commitment to collaborate with Cirugía Solidaria for yet another year. This strategic alliance not only highlights our commitment to promoting physical activity and companionship, but also our corporate social responsibility and support for humanitarian projects that have a positive impact on society.

Registration for this charity event is now open through the website alcanzatumeta.es, with a cost of 12 euros for the 10K and 8 euros for the 5K and the non-competitive solidarity walk.

In the 10K distance, several categories have been established, ranging from U-23 to Master 65, including a special category for people with functional diversity. In addition, there will be a classification by teams, encouraging the spirit of collaboration and teamwork.

What is Solidarity Surgery?

 Cirugía Solidaria, founded in 2000 by a group of doctors from the Region of Murcia, has as its main objective to develop projects in countries where health care is deficient. Since then, they have carried out numerous expeditions to African countries, providing medical care and logistical support in collaboration with local NGOs. To finance these costly campaigns, the NGO relies on contributions from partners, and also organises sporting events, such as this popular race or a paddle tennis tournament. It has recently set up an advisory board where certain companies provide financial support, as well as anonymous citizens.
